St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)
Few herbs are as well-known as St. John's wort; due to its popularity resulting from conclusive clinical research and first-hand experience of its effectiveness in treating mild to moderate depression. Constituents of this herb influence brain chemistry in several different ways, leading to elevated mood and morale. Sleep, vitality, and the ability to relax may also improve. St John's Wort is also well-known in the support of seasonal affective disorder, jet lag, and nervous exhaustion.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Ginger is a stimulating tonic for the digestive system. It has been found to reduce cramping, gas and nausea. Ginger has been indicated for motion sickness and morning sickness in pregnancy for hundreds of years. Ginger increases peripheral circulation which increases blood flow, helps to detoxify the body from toxins, and stimulates oxygen transport to the body’s cells. In Western Herbal Medicine it is also used as an anti-inflammatory throughout the body, and to increase immunity to prevent invasion of bacteria and viruses.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
Much loved as a lemon-scented herb that "makes the heart merry", Lemon Balm's soothing qualities quiet the heart and an overactive mind. Valuable in situations where long-term anxiety edges into depression, Lemon Balm is known to uplift the spirit and reduce feelings of panic or restlessness.

Also known as Marigold, Calendula has many medicinal actions. When taken internally this sunshine herb is an anti-inflammatory and especially has its effects on the length of the digestive system.
